The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed in regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support position made for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
